C4L & Ron Paul Republicans

This may just be my opinion, but things are becoming very clear what us liberty lovers must do in order to gain a larger constituency. This is a spinoff of the Ron Paul 2012 topic a week ago about what we will do differently.

First off, C4L has it's pluses and minuses. But I think it has a huge opportunity right now.
- Ron Paul has said he will not run 3rd party.
- Ron Paul's constituency is gaining.
- Democrats are unhappy with Obama
- Republicans are absolutely pissed at their Party.

What can we learn from this? I think that C4L needs to start taking initiative and start the branding pre-campaign now. If Ron Paul runs, he will be running as a Republican.

How many of us have heard the term "Ron Paul Republican"- it's becoming more and more common. But we have a long way to go before others start learning this. Just like Reagan Republicanism, the GOP just recently acknowledged that there is truly a Ron Paul wing of the Republican Party, so lets make it bigger and capitalize on it.

This campaign should start now promoting "Ron Paul Republican". This means we get Ron Paul Republican bumper stickers, we start gearing the liberty and freedom message towards existing Republicans, start calling into talk radio and talk about being Ron Paul Republicans. We start showing parallels between Reagan and Ron Paul, we prove to Neoconned Republicans that Ron Paul is the closest thing we have to Reagan. We can do this. We just need to have the courage to do it. It's not even about money, it's about effort and strategy.

C4L could be a very important organization into seeing this through. Plus, if more candidates now want support from the "Ron Paul Republican Wing" they will have to accept that the movement isn't going away, and that a constituency is growing, and it may be the only real constituency left in the Republican party that is viable.

Regardless of whether Dr. Paul runs in 2012, the Ron Paul Republican wing is here to stay. Lets make this clear so we can start propping up candidates who are Ron Paul Republicans in 2010, and making the public aware that not all Republicans are neocons. As many neocons have said, the era of Reagan is dead. Lets use this debate as leverage to usher in Ron Paul type ideas that are similar to Reaganism that America once again longs for.

Are you guys willing to put this into action just as the campaign for HR 1207 has so far exceeded all expectations?

I think we can do it. Think of this as a pre-2012 campaign strategy.

I'll be proud to call myself a Ron Paul Republican.
